Peak Instantaneous Demand definition

Peak Instantaneous Demand means calculated or estimated highest flowrate that can be expected through any water mains of the distribution network of a public water system at any instant in time, generally expressed in gpm or cfs (refer to section 510-9).
Peak Instantaneous Demand means the highest flow rate on the hydrographic curve, expressed as a volume per unit of time. This is calculated from a Fixture Unit analysis per the UPC, AWWA Fixture Value Method, or by applying a peaking factor to the Average Day Demand in gallons per minute, or other means acceptable to the regulatory authority.
