Peak hour trips definition

Peak hour trips means total inbound and outbound trips during the PM peak period (commonly known as “rush hours”), as may be further defined by the city traffic engineer.
Peak hour trips means total vehicular trips entering and leaving a development project during the consecutive 60-minute period between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. which experiences the highest sum of traffic volumes entering or leaving the development. This typically corresponds to the definition ofpeak hour of the generator” in the most recent edition of Trip Generation, published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Other trip generation sources may be used, at the discretion of the city, where ITE data are based on a limited survey base or where there may be special trip-generating characteristics of the proposal.
Peak hour trips means the number of peak hour vehicle trips a major change in allowable land use would generate on a daily basis. Peak hour trips generated shall be calculated by using the most recent version of the Trip Generation Manual of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) in effect on the date the city issues the notice of preparation of an environmental impact report for a major change in allowable land use,
