Pay-load definition

Pay-load means the nett carrying capacity or nett load which a vehicle may carry or haul in terms of any Motor Carriers’ Certificate or Certificate of Exemption issued in respect of such vehicle by a Local Road Transportation Board in terms of the Motor Carrier Transportation Act, 1930, including any trailer while attached thereto, or in the absence of such stipulation in any such certificate, the load specified in a certificate issued by the Council.
