Passive Segment definition

Passive Segment means any segment entered in the GDS that does not result in a ticket purchase via the GDS and is used for administrative or fictitious purposes;
Passive Segment means a Booking created in the Worldspan System using the “passive” or “holding” status codes HK, HL, MK, ML (and other status codes determined by Worldspan from time to time).
Passive Segment means a reservation booked outside of the Travelport System with a travel supplier, or through a booking application, that is then placed into the Travelport System for information or ticketing purposes.

Examples of Passive Segment in a sentence

  • If Participating Carrier has elected to receive the SSR item to identify Passive Segment Notification for WORLDGroup Passive Segments (Paragraph 2.B.2.a), then Worldspan agrees to include an SSR item in the Passive Segment Notification with the PNR record locator, or other indicator consisting of three (3) to nine (9) alphas and/or numerics as provided by Participating Carrier to the Worldspan User.

  • Only in those instances in which Participating Carrier is unable to successfully match the Passive Segment Notification with a PNR in Participating Carrier’s system will Participating Carrier have an option to return an NO action code.

  • Worldspan has developed a procedure for notifying participating carriers when a Worldspan User creates a Passive Segment.

  • Participating Carrier may, at its sole discretion, and subject to the conditions set forth in Paragraph 3.C. if applicable, match the Passive Segments in the Passive Segment Notification with PNRs resident in Participating Carrier’s system.

  • Note Pre-requisite: Airlines must have the Passive Segment Notification feature activated in the SabreSonic host system in order to use this Revenue Integrity process.

  • In these circumstances, receipt of Passive Segment Notification is for informational purposes only.

  • In the event Participating Carrier replies to the Passive Segment Notification with an NO action code, Worldspan will update the Worldspan PNR with the NO action code and place the PNR on a queue for review or modification by the Worldspan User.

  • If Participating Carrier has elected to receive Passive Segment Notification for all Passive Segments, including WORLDGroup Passive Segments (Paragraph 2.B.2), and if Participating Carrier has elected to receive the SSR item (Paragraph 2.B.2.a), then Participating Carrier agrees to attempt to match the information in the SSR item to PNRs in Participating Carrier’s system or any other location that maintains records of blocked space.

  • If at any time during the Term, Orbitz creates Passive Segments, Travelport will notify Orbitz and Orbitz will thereafter either (i) cease creating Passive Segments, or (ii) pay *** for any Passive Segment created by Orbitz.

  • PASSIVE shall mean a Transaction that results in a Booking containing a passive status code (e.g., MK) and for which a message has not been transmitted from the WORLDSPAN System unless otherwise agreed to by WORLDSPAN and the Participating Carrier (e.g., Passive Segment Notification).


More Definitions of Passive Segment

Passive Segment means a reservation booked outside of the Travelport System with a travel supplier, or through a booking application, that is then placed into the Travelport System for information or ticketing purposes. “PCC” or “Pseudo City Code” is an alphanumeric identifier assigned by Travelport to a Subscriber’s customer number for the purposes of tracking reservations. “Personal Data” means any personal data or personally identifiable information relating to identifiable natural persons, which may include, among other things: name, address, telephone number(s), credit card numbers, frequent flyer information, trusted traveler ID information and passport information, as the same may be defined under the relevant Data Protection Laws. “Phase I” means, for each of Contract Years (***), the portion of that Contract Year before the day, if any, during that Contract Year when Orbitz has met both the Annual Value Unit Commitment for that Contract Year and the overall Flex Value Unit Commitment. For the avoidance of doubt, Phase I of a Contract Year will be the entire Contract Year if Orbitz does not meet both the Annual Value Unit Commitment for that Contract Year and the overall Flex Value Unit Commitment by the end of that Contract Year. “Phase II” means, for each of Contract Years (***), the portion, if any, of that Contract Year after the day during that Contract Year when Orbitz has met both the Annual Value Unit Commitment for that Contract Year and the overall Flex Value Unit Commitment. “PNR” means a passenger name record created in or by the Travelport System that includes a reservation for travel-related goods and services. “POS” means a point of sale for a reservation made by an Orbitz Worldwide Agency. For example, if a customer from anywhere in the world books a Segment using ▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇, or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇ using a PCC assigned to a location in North America, such Segment is made via a POS in North America. “Primary PCC” means the PCC designated by Travelport as the first PCC for a particular Location. “Product Data” means data that is extracted from a Travelport System by the Travelport Group Companies, but, for the avoidance of doubt, does not include Personal Data. “Products and Services” means all products and services provided by Travelport hereunder, including software, access to a global distribution system, functionality or features, support, Optional Services, and any other services provided by Travelport.   • Passive NFE Under the CRS a “Passive NFE” means any NFE that is not an Active NFE. An Investment Entity located in a Non-Participating Jurisdiction and managed by another Financial Institution is also treated as a Passive NFE for purposes of the CRS.

  • Passive RFID tag means a tag that reflects energy from the reader/interrogator or that receives and temporarily stores a small amount of energy from the reader/interrogator signal in order to generate the tag response.
