An academic staff member may be appointed to PASM grade in accordance with the institute’s policy.
Nothing in the above clauses should be read as preventing a new employee, in appropriate circumstances, from being appointed to any step within the ASM, SASM or PASM grades.
The parties agree to develop a policy and procedure for appointment to the PASM grade.
