Partially Proficient definition
Partially Proficient means a student has limited success with the challenging content of the Colorado Academic Standards. These students may demonstrate inconsistent performance or may answer many test questions correctly but be generally less successful with questions that are most challenging.
Partially Proficient means a score achieved by a student below the cut score which demarks a solid understanding of the content measured by an individual section of any State assessment.

If justifiable decrease in the number of teaching positions within a particular endorsement area is not resolved by the above, contracts of teachers in the identified endorsement area or areas who received an evaluation rating of ineffective the previous school year as measured by the same common standards in the evaluation tool and rated Basic or Partially Proficient on the Professional Practice in the current year will be canceled first.
