parenting leave. A parenting leave may be approved for up to one (1) year. Teachers returning from a parenting leave of one (1) year or less retain the right to return to their previous work location. At the end of the one (1) year, non-probationary teachers may request an additional year of leave as a personal leave. Teachers returning from leaves of more than one (1) year have a right to return to a position in the District's Adult Education Programs.
