Parental time off benefits may be combined with other time off programs to maximize the length of paid time off available and to supplement paid time off under FML for birth and adoptive events.
Parental time off will commence following the birth or adoption of a child, and the maximum amount of allotted time off is based on the policy in effect at the time of birth.
Parental time off does not have to be exhausted prior to the use of short-term disability.
Parental time off is paid at 100% of the employee’s regular pay (based upon FTE) for the specified number of hours outlined in this policy.
Employees should make every effort to request Parental time off within seven (7) days.
