Parent Contact definition

Parent Contact means that the school will contact the parent to discuss the behavior on the day the behavior occurs. “Inside Recess” means the student stays in at one 15-minutes recess (or minutes of one recess), completes a “Think About It” form during that time, and goes outside at other recesses.
Parent Contact is defined as a face-to-face meeting with a parent or a telephone conference if the parent and the teacher are not able to arrange a face-to-face meeting. At the middle and high school level, a face-to-face meeting with the parent, a phone conference, or a progress report sent home via the U.S. mail and returned to the teacher with comments and a parental signature attesting that the parent has reviewed the information is sufficient “parent contact.”
