Paper service definition

Paper service. Paper service is civil service of process that is not related to any criminal investigative actions or proceedings. It includes service of civil legal documents, notices and subpoenas; execution of civil writs and court orders; execution of civil notice of seizure; civil execution of writ of possession or ejectment; and civil notices to vacate and other eviction actions. Paper service also includes criminal subpoenas.
Paper service means the delivery of a copy of a document on another person via the United States Postal Service, commercial delivery service, or personal delivery.
