Panel Metering definition
Panel Metering. All panel metering shall be serviced in accordance with the following general requirements:
a. The subcontractor shall present testing to DOT Representative to witness.
b. Visual and Mechanical Inspection:
i. Inspect physical and mechanical condition.
ii. Verify tightness of electrical connections.
iii. Inspect cover gasket, cover glass, condition of spiral spring, contacts, and case-shorting contacts, as applicable.
iv. Verify freedom of movement.
c. Calibrate meters at all cardinal points in accordance with manufacturer’s published data.
d. Affix calibration stickers to meters.
e. Verify all instrument multipliers.
