P20W data set definition

P20W data set means the data set adopted by the governing board, including but not limited to, the approximately 160 data points described in the report to the Department of Finance and the Legislature required by subdivision (a) of Section 10856 and as adjusted by the governing board. The governing board may add or remove data points based on changes in the usage of the element.

As required by the Information Practices Act of 1977 (Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 1798) of Title 1.8 of Part 4 of Division 3 of the Civil Code) and the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. Sec. 1232g), data providers shall retain sole control over their source data and may reject, add, or remove data elements contributed to the P20W data set, as reflected in its participation agreement with the managing entity.

The governing board may add or remove requested data points based on changes in the usage of the element. Data providers retain sole control over their source data and may reject, add, or remove data elements contributed to the P20 data set, as reflected in its participation agreement with the managing entity (EDC Section 10861).
