Otto Cycle Engine means a type of engine with operating characteristics significantly similar to the theoretical Otto combustion cycle. The primary means for controlling power output in an Otto cycle engine is by limiting the amount of air and fuel that can enter the combustion chambers of the engine. Gasoline- fueled engines are Otto cycle engines.
