HPD means the Department of Housing Preservation and Development of the City of New York.

Mathematically, it is the sum of wasteload allocations for point sources, load allocations for non-point and natural background sources, and a margin of safety.
Homecare Worker means a provider, as described in OAR 411-031- 0040, that is directly employed by a consumer to provide either hourly or live-in services to the eligible consumer.
BPSS means the recognised standard for HMG for staff vetting which comprises verification of (1) identity, (2) employment history, (3) nationality and immigration status (including the right to work), and Criminal Records Bureau check (including a five (5) year address history check).
Health screening means the use of one or more diagnostic tools to test a person for the presence or precursors of a particular disease.
Progressive discipline means a process of applying and documenting disciplinary actions progressing from less to more serious depending on the employee’s history and the nature of the offense.
SAIC means the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the PRC and/or its regional and local counterparts.
IC Customs controls” means measures applied by the officers of customs or through Customs Computerized System to manage risks and ensure compliance;”;
Biological safety cabinet means a containment unit suitable for the preparation of low to moderate risk agents where there is a need for protection of the product, personnel, and environment, according to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Standard 49.
Soil scientist means an individual duly qualified in accordance with standards set by the Federal Office of Personnel Management.

Cannabis means all parts of the plant Cannabis sativa Linnaeus, Cannabis indica, or Cannabis ruderalis, whether growing or not; the seeds thereof; the resin, whether crude or purified, extracted from any part of the plant; and every compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the plant, its seeds, or resin. “Cannabis” also means the separated resin, whether crude or purified, obtained from cannabis. “Cannabis” does not include the mature stalks of the plant, fiber produced from the stalks, oil or cake made from the seeds of the plant, any other compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the mature stalks (except the resin extracted therefrom), fiber, oil, or cake, or the sterilized seed of the plant which is incapable of germination. Cannabis and the term “marijuana” may be used interchangeably.
