Oral Surgery means necessary procedures for surgery in the oral cavity, including pre- and post- operative care.

Oral Surgery means any manipulation or cutting of hard or soft tissues of the oral or maxillofacial area and associated procedures, by any means, as defined by the American Dental Association, utilized by a dentist licensed by 201 KAR Chapter 8 and within the dentist's scope of training and practice.

Oral Surgery. Provides benefits for the twelve (12) oral surgeries and simple extractions. However 18 no benefits shall be payable under this plan for charges for oral surgery performed on any member if at the time such 19 oral surgery is performed there is in effect a "fee-for-service" plan (presently Blue Cross and Blue Shield United of 20 Wisconsin) or other hospital and/or 21 surgical-medical group insurance policy covering the member. 23 (1) See attachment on Oral Surgery covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield. 24 (2) Based on usual, customary, and reasonable charges. 26 ORAL SURGERY 28 Charges are paid to a physician or dentist for the following services only, wherever performed: 30 1. Surgical exposure or removal of impacted teeth. 31 2. Removal of tumors and cysts of the jaw, cheeks, lips, tongue, roof and floor of the mouth, when pathological 32 exam is needed. 33 3. Surgery to correct accidental injuries of the jaw, cheeks, lips, tongue, roof and floor of the mouth. The injury 34 must happen while you are covered under this plan. 35 4. Oral Surgery. - "Oral Surgery" means procedures to correct: diseases, Injuries, and defects of the jaw and mouth structures

Oral Surgery means maxillofacial surgical procedures limited to: a. Excision of non-dental related neoplasms, including benign tumors and cysts and all malignant and premalignant lesions and growths; b. Incision and drainage of facial abscess; c. Surgical procedures involving salivary glands and ducts and non-dental related procedures of the accessory sinuses; and d. Reduction of a dislocation of, excision of, and injection of the temporomandibular joint, except as excluded in Article V, of this Contract.

Oral Surgery means dental procedures necessary for simple extractions and other dental surgery not requiring hospitalization.
