If a Pre-selected Death Benefit Option Election is not made by the Owner prior to the Owner's death, the Beneficiary may request that the death benefit be paid under any of the death benefit options described in this Contract, or other death benefit option, as agreed upon by the Company at the time of request.
If this Pre-selected Death Benefit Option Election is in force at the time of the Owner's death, the payment of the death benefit may not be postponed, nor can the Contract be continued under any provisions of this Contract.
If such election is made, notice of such election shall be mailed in accordance with the terms of the applicable Tranche of Dual Currency Notes within two Business Days of the Option Election Date and shall state (i) the first date, whether an Interest Payment Date and/or Stated Maturity, on which scheduled payments in the Optional Payment Currency will be made and (ii) the Designated Exchange Rate.
Such option will be exercisable in whole but not in part on an "Option Election Date," which will be any one of the dates specified on the face hereof or in the pricing supplement attached hereto or delivered herewith.
The Executive's request may be made at any time during the period beginning with the giving of the notice of termination and ending three months after the Executive's employment terminates (the "Option Election Period").
Such option will be exercisable in whole but not in part on an Option Election Date, which will be any one of the dates specified on the face hereof or in an addendum hereto.

Upon request made during the Option Election Period, the Company shall purchase all Company shares owned by the Executive immediately prior to the Date of Termination.
