Operator Level 1 definition

Operator Level 1 is an employee whose principal duties include the driving and/or operating of motor vehicles, cranes and/or machines, including shiploading, stacking and/or reclaiming machines, front-end loaders and other similar equipment. This operator will also be engaged in the receiving, tipping, stacking, crushing, blending, shovelling, carting, sampling and loading of coal onto and/or into motor wagons, rail trucks and/or hoppers and/or conveyor belts and/or ships and be engaged in marshalling and routine servicing and/or maintenance and/or operation of ancillary equipment incidental thereto, including but without limiting work currently being carried out at both terminals and associated wharf locations at the time of this Agreement coming into effect. Operators Level 1 shall be interchangeable and be able to perform all/any of the aforementioned types of work. Employees in this classification will be expected to perform all duties within the classification and any other functions and duties of which they are capable and qualified to perform, thereby eliminating lines of demarcation and ensuring they are gainfully employed at all times and are using all their skills taking into account appropriate callings.

Examples of Operator Level 1 in a sentence

  • When a Water/Sewer Operator – Level 1 is assigned to act as Lead Hand for specific projects or periods of time, that employee shall receive a premium rate of 10% above the negotiated wages of the Water/Sewer Operator Level 1 rate.

  • When an Operator Level 4 bids to another job in a different area, he/she will be paid Operator Level 1 pay during the qualification period in the new job.

  • If a level 4 operator bids to a new area, he/she will receive Operator Level 1 pay during the qualification period in the new job.

  • Effective date of ratification by the Union, amend rates for the following classifications: Water/Sewer Operator Level 1 - Increase of $2 per hour above the General Trades Level 1 rate.

  • A Water/Sewer Operator Level 1 job description will be prepared and agreed to by the parties as quickly as possible following bargaining.

  • An employee at this level shall be able to perform general labouring and elementary tasks as required at Operator Level 1 and have acquired an understanding of the duties outlined in Operator 2.

  • An Operator Level 2 will be required to carry out all the duties of an Operator Level 1.

  • Highest-level owner means the entity that owns or controls an immediate owner of the offeror, or that owns or controls one or more entities that control an immediate owner of the offeror. No entity owns or exercises control of the highest level owner.

  • Barrier Level means the Barrier Level as specified in § 1 of the Product and Underlying Data.

  • Level 1 means a charging system that provides charging through a one-hundred- twenty volt AC plug with a cord connector that meets the SAE international J1772 standard or a successor standard.
