Operating System Instance (OSI) definition

Operating System Instance (OSI) means an independent, functional virtual or bare metal server running an operating system that is both supported by the operating system manufacturer and offered by Rackspace. This excludes Customer Appliances.
Operating System Instance (OSI) means an independent, functional EC2 instance running an operating system that is both supported by the operating system manufacturer and offered by Rackspace. This excludes Client Appliances.

  • Operating System refers to the software that manages the Hardware Device. You have the right to use the Operating System delivered with the Hardware Device (and any updates acquired through our technical support services) only as incorporated in, and as part of, the Hardware Device and subject to the terms of the license agreement(s) delivered with or on the Hardware Device. Current versions of the license agreements are located in the documentation for the Hardware Device.
