operating radius definition

operating radius means the horizontal distance between the center of rotation of a jib crane and the center of its hoisting accessory. The operating radius is also known as the “slewing radius”, of which the largest limit is called the “maximum operating (or slewing) radius” and the smallest limit is called the “minimum operating (or slewing) radius”.
