Open Source IP definition

Open Source IP means the open source intellectual property created by the Researchers in relation to the Project which is to be freely used, modified, and shared by all persons or groups in all fields of endeavor;

  • No Open Source IP shall be used as a component of or in relation to any Deliverable without the prior written instruction of the Company specifically directing that such Open Source IP be used.

  • Open Source Code means any software code that is distributed as “free software” or “open source software” or is otherwise distributed publicly in source code form under terms that permit modification and redistribution of such software. Open Source Code includes software code that is licensed under the GNU General Public License, GNU Lesser General Public License, Mozilla License, Common Public License, Apache License, BSD License, Artistic License, or Sun Community Source License.

  • Open Source License means any license meeting the Open Source Definition (as promulgated by the Open Source Initiative) or the Free Software Definition (as promulgated by the Free Software Foundation), or any substantially similar license, including any license approved by the Open Source Initiative or any Creative Commons License. “Open Source Licenses” shall include Copyleft Licenses.

  • Open Source Software means any software generally distributed publicly in source code form under any license that is listed at ▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/licenses or that complies with the Open Source Definition available at ▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/osd. Open Source Material includes software that is licensed under the GNU General Public License, GNU Lesser General Public License, Mozilla Public License, Apache License, or BSD License.

  • Open Source means any open source, public source or freeware Intellectual Property, or any modification or derivative thereof, including any version of any software licensed pursuant to any GNU general public license or limited general public license or software that is licensed pursuant to a license that purports to require the distribution of or access to Source Code or purports to restrict the licensee’s ability to charge for distribution of or to use software for commercial purposes or requires the inclusion of attribution notices in any redistributed software.

  • Open Source Materials means software or other material that is distributed as “free software,” “open source software” or under similar licensing or distribution terms (including the GNU General Public License (GPL), GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL), Mozilla Public License (MPL), BSD licenses, the Artistic License, the Netscape Public License, the Sun Community Source License (SCSL) the Sun Industry Standards License (SISL) and the Apache License).
