Open Contract Positions definition

Open Contract Positions means any Contract submitted by a Participant to the Clearinghouse, and accepted by the Clearinghouse, for clearing that has not been designated as a Closed Contract Position, including (a) any long or short position in such Contract without a matching position that such first position can be offset against, (b) any long or short position in such Contract with a matching position that such first position can be offset against but that is held open by such Participant under an approved hedge program and (c) any long or short position in such Contract with a matching position that such first position can be offset against but that is held open under the applicable Contract Rules which defer offset until Contract expiration or another specified date.

  • Clearing Members with Open Contract Positions at this time for a Contract Set subject to delivery are obliged to make or take delivery.
