Onboard training definition

Onboard training means practical training on board training vessel or merchant ship in operation, as part of an approved training, carried out under the direction of a qualified person, the master or an officer authorized thereof or the Chief Engineer, and in accordance with an approved programme;

  • Onboard training may include the line indoctrination and familiarization flights.

  • To detail out some terms and obligations in conjunction with the training and education that forms the curriculum in the Pre-sea and On-board training, as well as subsequent tour of duties as a certified officer on board the ships that are assigned by the company.
