OHU may consider it appropriate for a medical report to be sought from the employee’s own medical practitioner.
Where it is apparent from the OHU report that the employee will remain absent from duty for some time but may return, the Headteacher* should discuss the matter with a member of the Schools HR Team in order to determine what action could be taken.
The Human Resources Section (HRS) and OHU should aim to ensure that such services and opportunities are made available to field office staff, preferably via video teleconferencing (VTC).
An OHU appointment will normally be arranged within 2 weeks of the referral.

Following the OHU appointment, the OHU will prepare a report, which will be available on the on-line system.
