Official Reprimand definition

Official Reprimand. An oral or written notice to an employee informing him of an action or course of conduct on the employee's part which is cause for disciplinary action. Parent: A biological parent of an employee or an individual who stood in loco parentis to an employee when the employee was a child. Policy: A settled course established by the City Council or an appropriate authority.

Examples of Official Reprimand in a sentence

  • A dispute regarding the application of a disciplinary Record of Discussion and a disciplinary Official Reprimand.

  • Upon a finding of guilt, the minimum penalty to be imposed for an infraction shall be an Official Reprimand.

  • A written reprimand (also known as an Official Reprimand) will provide the employee with (1) the reason for taking the action, i.e., detail the employee’s misconduct; (2) the period of time the action will be in the employee’s OPF (in accordance with NIST Policy or up to 24 months, whichever provides the lesser of the two options); and, (3) the right to grieve the action under the negotiated grievance procedure.
