MPUC shall have the meaning set forth in Section 1.1 hereof.
PUC means any state regulatory agency or body that exercises jurisdiction over the rates or services or the ownership, construction or operation of any network facility or long distance telecommunications systems or over Persons who own, construct or operate a network facility or long distance telecommunications systems, in each case by reason of the nature or type of the business subject to regulation and not pursuant to laws and regulations of general applicability to Persons conducting business in such state.
CPUC means the California Public Utilities Commission.
NRC means the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
FCC means the Federal Communications Commission.
Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) means the Government Agency responsible for oversight of public procurement.
MDPU means the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.
Government Authorities means, without limitation, all Government departments and agencies with responsibility for the import and export of goods, the collection of revenue on the import and export of goods and the transport of those goods to include, without limitation, Customs, AQIS, the ATO and the RSA;
CRTC means the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission or its successor.
Governmental Entities has the meaning ascribed to it in the Purchase Agreement.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) means the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission or its duly authorized representatives.
MPSC means the Michigan Public Service Commission or its successor.
competent authorities means the competent authorities of the Member States as identified on the websites listed in Annex II;
EMA means the European Medicines Agency or any successor agency thereto.
CPUC Approval means a final and non-appealable order of the CPUC, without conditions or modifications unacceptable to the Parties, or either of them, which contains the following terms:
Antitrust Authorities means the Federal Trade Commission, the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice, the attorneys general of the several states of the United States of America, and any other Governmental Authority having jurisdiction pursuant to applicable Antitrust Laws with respect to the transactions contemplated hereby.
MFDA means the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada;
Regulatory Authorities means the Commissions and the Exchange;
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission or "FERC" means the
Securities Regulatory Authorities means the securities commission or similar regulatory authority in each province and territory of Canada that is responsible for administering the Canadian securities legislation in force in such jurisdictions;
FERC means the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
PSC means the Public Service Commission;
Governmental Authorities means governments, regulatory authorities, governmental departments, agencies, commissions, bureaus, officials, ministers, Crown corporations, courts, bodies, boards, tribunals or dispute settlement panels or other law, rule or regulation-making organizations or entities:
NDRC means the National Development and Reform Commission of the PRC or its local counterparts;
Port Authority means the Port Hedland Port Authority, being the body corporate established for the Port under the Port Authorities Act;
FCC Approval means the FCC’s grant of the FCC Applications; provided that the possibility that an appeal, request for stay, or petition for rehearing or review by a court or administrative agency may be filed with respect to such grant, or that the FCC may reconsider or review such grant on its own authority, shall not prevent such grant from constituting FCC Approval for purposes of the Plan.
