NPA/NXX Code definition

NPA/NXX Code means area code plus the three-digit switch entity indicator (i.e., the first six digits of a ten-digit telephone number).

  • Either Party shall respond to a special request for an NPA-NXX Code Request Routing Form when a single Switch is served by multiple trunk groups.

  • Comcast shall assign whole NPA/NXX Codes or a block of numbers within a whole NPA/NXX Code to each Rate Center Area unless otherwise ordered by the FCC, the Commission or another governmental entity of appropriate jurisdiction, or the LEC industry adopts alternative methods of utilizing NXXs.
