November 1. Each candidate sends a promotion portfolio to the Department Dean. The Dean reviews the portfolio and consults with the candidate. The Dean will inform the candidate of the Dean’s recommendation to the Promotion Committee. If the Department Dean does not recommend the candidate, the candidate will have the option of withdrawing the application or submitting the portfolio to the committee without the Dean’s recommendation.
