Notarial act means an act, whether performed with respect to a tangible or electronic record, that a notarial officer may perform under the law of this state. The term includes taking an acknowledgment, administering an oath or affirmation, taking a verification on oath or affirmation, witnessing or attesting a signature, certifying or attesting a copy except as provided in subsection 7 of section 44-06.1-23, and noting a protest of a negotiable instrument.
Notarial officer means a notary public or other individual authorized to perform a notarial act.
Ministerial acts means those acts that a licensee may
Planning Acts means the Town and Country Planning Xxx 0000 the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Xxx 0000 the Planning (Hazardous Substances) Xxx 0000 the Planning (Consequential Provisions) Xxx 0000 and the Planning and Compensation Xxx 0000 and any Act or Acts amending replacing or modifying any of such Acts for the time being in force or of a similar nature and all orders and regulations thereunder for the time being in force
STATUTORY ACTS means all the State and Central Government statutes and regulations effecting the operation of the services under this Agreement as may be in force from time to time and shall particularly include but not be limited to the following;
Deed of Assignment means the deed of assignment of the Shareholder Loan in the agreed form set out in Schedule 6 (Deed of Assignment) to be entered into between the Seller and the Buyer upon Completion.
Deed of Accession means a deed of accession substantially in the form set out in Schedule 6.
Mayor means the duly elected and acting Mayor, or in the Mayor's absence, the duly appointed and/or elected Vice Mayor or Acting Mayor of the Issuer.
Notice of assessment means a written notice by the division, based on a citation, that the employer must pay the amount of wages, penalties, or fines assessed.
Accession means goods that are physically united with other goods in such a manner that the identity of the original goods is not lost.
Assistant Superintendent means the assistant superintendent to whom the supervisor reports. If the supervisor is an assistant superintendent, the associate superintendent will serve as the assistant superintendent.
Notary public means an individual commissioned to perform a notarial act by the secretary of state.
Governmental Acts means any act or omission, whether rightful or wrongful, of any present or future de jure or de facto government or Governmental Authority.
Victim of sexual assault means an individual against whom a sexual offense has been committed as described in ORS 163.467 or 163.525; or any other individual designated as a victim of sexual assault by rule adopted under ORS 659A.805.
Notice of Assignment is defined in Section 12.3.2.
Deed means a quitclaim deed(s) substantially in the form set out in the attached Exhibit C.
Domestic or sexual violence means stalking, any sexually violent offense, as defined in N.J.S.A. 30:4-27.26, or domestic violence as defined in N.J.S.A. 2C:25-19, and N.J.S.A. 17:29B-16.
widow means the surviving dependent widow of an employee who was wholly or partially dependent upon the employee's earnings at the time of the employee's death;
Sexual act means conduct between persons consisting of contact between the penis and the vulva, the penis and the anus, the mouth and the penis, the mouth and the vulva, or any intrusion, however slight, by any part of a person’s body or object into the genital or anal opening of another.
Agreed Acts means any of the following:-
Emotional abuse means behavior that could harm a child's emotional development, such as threatening, intimidating, humiliating, demeaning, criticizing, rejecting, using profane language, or using inappropriate physical restraint.
Mental abnormality or "personality disorder" means a congenital or acquired condition that affects
Ratifying Act means the Act to ratify this Agreement and referred to in clause 3 hereof;
Educator practice instrument means an assessment tool that provides: scales or dimensions that capture competencies of professional performance; and differentiation of a range of professional performance as described by the scales, which must be shown in practice and/or research studies. The scores from educator practice instruments for teaching staff members other than teachers, Principals, Vice Principals, and Assistant Principals may be applied to the teaching staff member’s summative evaluation rating in a manner determined by the school district.
Notary means any practising attorney who is admitted and enrolled to practise as a notary in terms of this Act;
Accession Agreement means an Accession Agreement substantially in the form of Annex I to the Guaranty.
