Normal orientation means the usual or ordinary period of time to be, or to become, acquainted with those aspects of the position that the employee could not or would not otherwise know, as distinguished from training or learning the basic or special skills needed for a position, except where the training or learning of the basic or special skills is required for all employees when first assigned to a particular position.107. 275A.
