Non-Institutionalized definition

Non-Institutionalized means a category of MSHO and MSC+ Enrollees used as a factor to determine the Rate Cell of an Enrollee not permanently residing in a NF or ICF/MR.
Non-Institutionalized means not living in an institution such as a nursing home or group home.
Non-Institutionalized means a category of Enrollees used as a factor to determine the Rate Cell of an individual not permanently residing in a NF or ICF/MR.

Examples of Non-Institutionalized in a sentence

  • Non-Institutionalized Recipients who are eligible for MSHO but are not required to enroll in MSC+ due to a Spenddown may enroll in the MCO for MSHO.

  • Non-Institutionalized Beneficiaries who are eligible for MSHO but are not required to enroll in MSC+ due to a Spenddown may enroll in the MCO for MSHO.

  • Beginning March 1, 2000, if federal approval is received by November 30, 1999; or July 1, 2000, if federal approval is received by March 31, 2000; or October 1, 2000, if federal approval is received by June 30, 2000; for any Recipient who is age 65 or older, is Non-Institutionalized and who is currently enrolled or enrolls in the HEALTH PLAN’s MA product while in a community setting, the HEALTH PLAN shall have financial responsibility for Nursing Facility services for 90 days.
