No Harassment. The parties commit to providing a work environment that is free of unlawful harassment and discrimination. Actions, words, jokes or comments based on an individual’s race, colour, religion, sex, age, origin, disability, or any other legally protected characteristics will not be tolerated. Any employee who wants to report an incident of sexual or other unlawful harassment should promptly report the matter to their supervisor. If their supervisor is unavailable or the employee believes it would be inappropriate to contact that person, the employee should immediately contact the General Manager, Director of Human Resources or full-time Union Representative, Employees can raise concerns and make reports without fear or reprisal. Employees who have experienced sexual or other unlawful harassment have an obligation to ensure they follow the complaint procedure. An employee’s failure to do could affect his or her rights in pursuing legal action. Any supervisor or manager who becomes aware of possible sexual or other unlawful harassment must promptly advise the General Manager, who will handle the matter in a timely and confidential manner. Anyone engaging in sexual or other unlawful harassment or any supervisor or manager who becomes aware of possible sexual or other unlawful harassment and does not promptly advise the General Manager will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. The Company agrees to allow each employee to wear Union insignia so long as it is not covering the Company’s insignia, Unless expressly stipulated, the provisions of this Agreement shall apply equally to male and female employees.
No Harassment. No sexual harassment or any other type of harassment or discrimination because of some characteristic of another, such as an individual’s race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by federal, state or local law. 6.
