NICIS definition

NICIS is the National Integrated Cyberinfrastructure System, a Department of Science and Technology (DST) sponsored initiative hosted by the CSIR, which consists of SANReN, the Centre for High Performance Computing (CHPC) and the Data Intensive Research Initiative of South Africa (DIRISA).
