Network Upgrade definition

Network Upgrade means the additions, modifications, and upgrades to the SPS transmission system at or beyond the Point of Interconnection.
Network Upgrade means the construction or upgrade of the @Home Facilities necessary to connect to a specific Upgraded System at the Point of Demarcation in order to provide delivery of the @Home Services, including, but not limited to, the acquisition of hardware and software required in order to distribute the @Home Services to such Upgraded System, all in accordance with the Specifications and Standards. The portion of the @Home Network which has been so upgraded is referred to herein as the "Upgraded Network Portion."
Network Upgrade means a modification or addition to transmission-related facilities that are integrated with and support the Transmission System for general benefit of all users of such Transmission System.

Examples of Network Upgrade in a sentence

  • Upon such request, Connecting Transmission Owner will use Reasonable Efforts to advance the construction of such Network Upgrade Facilities, System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades to accommodate such request; provided that the Transmission Developer commits in writing to pay Connecting Transmission Owner any associated expediting costs.

  • The Facilities Study shall update and refine the description of Network Upgrade Facilities identified in the System Impact Study, including the equipment, work and related cost and time estimates necessary to construct the required Network Upgrade Facilities.

  • The Transmission Project Interconnection Agreement shall provide the mechanism through which a Transmission Developer shall post Security for required Network Upgrade Facilities.

  • The Connecting Transmission Owner, Affected System Operators and the Transmission Developer shall negotiate in good faith concerning a schedule for the construction of the Network Upgrade Facilities.

  • If the Parties agree to proceed with design, procurement, and construction of Network Upgrade Facilities under the agreed-upon terms of the unexecuted Transmission Project Interconnection Agreement, they may proceed pending Commission action.

  • The Transmission Interconnection Studies conducted under the Transmission Interconnection Procedures consist of short circuit/fault duty, steady state (thermal and voltage) and stability analyses designed to identify the Network Upgrade Facilities required for the reliable interconnection of Transmission Projects to the New York State Transmission System in compliance with the NYISO Transmission Interconnection Standard.

  • A Transmission Project will trigger a Network Upgrade Facility if upgrades are necessary to mitigate impacts to the controlling limit (i.e., voltage, stability, thermal) as well as any impact to the thermal limit.

  • A Transmission Developer will be required to post Security with the applicable Connecting Transmission Owner for Network Upgrade Facilities identified in the Facilities Study; however, if the Transmission Developer and Connecting Transmission Owner are the same entity, the Transmission Developer need not post Security for Network Upgrade Facilities required on its own facilities.

  • A Transmission Project will also trigger a Network Upgrade Facility if it degrades by more than 25 MW the pre-project transfer limits of any NYISO transmission planning interface recognized in the ISO’s transmission planning studies pursuant to ISO procedures.

  • No Network Upgrade, Local Upgrade or Merchant Network Upgrade or other transmission expansion or enhancement shall be a Customer-Funded Upgrade if and to the extent that the costs thereof are included in the rate base of a public utility on which a regulated return is earned.


More Definitions of Network Upgrade

Network Upgrade means the additions, modifications, and upgrades to the Transmission Provider's Transmission System required at or beyond the point at which the Interconnection Facilities connect to the Transmission Provider's Transmission System to accommodate the interconnection of the Facility to the Transmission Provider's Transmission System. 1.45 “Provisional Generator Interconnection Agreement” shall mean the Interconnection Agreement for Provisional Interconnection Service established between Transmission Provider and/or the Transmission Owner and the Interconnection Customer. This agreement shall take the form of the Generator Interconnection Agreement, modified for provisional purposes. 1.46 “Provisional Interconnection Service” shall mean Interconnection Service provided by Transmission Provider associated with interconnecting the Interconnection Customer’s Generating Facility to the Transmission Provider’s Transmission System and enabling that Transmission System to receive electric energy and capacity from the Generating Facility at the Point of Interconnection, pursuant to the terms of the Provisional Generator Interconnection Agreement and, if applicable, the Tariff. 1.47 “Reasonable Efforts” shall mean, with respect to an action required to be attempted or taken by a Party under the Standard Generator Connection Agreement, efforts that are timely and consistent with Good Utility Practice and are otherwise substantially equivalent to those a Party would use to protect its own interests.
Network Upgrade means the necessary upgrades to the Transmission Owner Transmission System that would not have been required but for the interconnection of the Facility to the WPSC transmission system, including
Network Upgrade means all transmission and network upgrades required by CAISO and/or the Transmission Provider to interconnect the Project with the Transmission Provider's transmission system.

Related to Network Upgrade

  • Network Upgrades means modifications or additions to transmission-related facilities that are integrated with and support the Transmission Provider’s overall Transmission System for the general benefit of all users of such Transmission System. Network Upgrades shall include:

  • Merchant Network Upgrades means additions to, or modifications or replacements of, physical facilities of the Interconnected Transmission Owner that, on the date of the pertinent Transmission Interconnection Customer’s Upgrade Request, are part of the Transmission System or are included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan. Merchant Transmission Facilities:

  • Network User means each natural or legal person having concluded a Standard Transmission Agreement with the TSO for Transmission Services in the Transmission Grid.

  • Network Load means the load that a Network Customer designates for Network Integration Transmission Service under Tariff, Part III. The Network Customer’s Network Load shall include all load (including losses) served by the output of any Network Resources designated by the Network Customer. A Network Customer may elect to designate less than its total load as Network Load but may not designate only part of the load at a discrete Point of Delivery. Where an Eligible Customer has elected not to designate a particular load at discrete points of delivery as Network Load, the Eligible Customer is responsible for making separate arrangements under Tariff, Part II for any Point-To-Point Transmission Service that may be necessary for such non-designated load.

  • Software Upgrade means a release of Software, in object code form, or firmware, which adds new functionality and feature enhancements to the Software or Equipment.

  • Network Element is As Defined in the Act.

  • Network Data Mover (NDM) or “Connect Direct” means the industry standard protocol for transferring information electrically.

  • Connectivity means the provision of a Permanent Separated Bicycle Lane system that reflects desired routes between all major origins and destinations in the city.

  • Interface means the mixture occurring in pipeline operations between adjoining batches having similar or dissimilar physical characteristics.

  • Upgrade means a major version upgrade of any Platform software.

  • Network Change has the meaning given to it in the Network Code;

  • Network plan means a policy of group health insurance offered by an insurer under which the financing and delivery of medical care, including items and services paid for as medical care, are provided, in whole or in part, through a defined set of providers under contract with the insurer. The term does not include an arrangement for the financing of premiums.

  • Network Resource shall have the meaning as provided in the NYISO OATT, for such resources located in New York, and the meaning as provided in the PJM OATT, for such resources located in PJM.

  • Network Service User means an entity using Network Transmission Service.

  • Local Upgrades means modifications or additions of facilities to xxxxx any local thermal loading, voltage, short circuit, stability or similar engineering problem caused by the interconnection and delivery of generation to the Transmission System. Local Upgrades shall include:

  • Network Rail means Network Rail Infrastructure Limited, a company registered in England under company number 02904587 and having its registered office at 0 Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxx, Xxxxxx XX0 0XX;

  • Customer System means the Customer's computing environment (consisting of hardware, software and/or telecommunications networks or equipment) used by the Customer or the Supplier in connection with this Contract which is owned by or licensed to the Customer by a third party and which interfaces with the Supplier System or which is necessary for the Customer to receive the Services;

  • Network Customer means an entity receiving transmission service pursuant to the terms of the Transmission Provider’s Network Integration Transmission Service under Tariff, Part III. Network External Designated Transmission Service:

  • Interoperability means the ability of a CenturyLink OSS Function to process seamlessly (i.e., without any manual intervention) business transactions with CLEC's OSS application, and vice versa, by means of secure exchange of transaction data models that use data fields and usage rules that can be received and processed by the other Party to achieve the intended OSS Function and related response.   • functionality means the ability of a tenderer to provide goods or services in accordance with specifications as set out in the tender documents.

  • Supplier System means the information and communications technology system used by the Supplier in performing the Services including the Software, the Equipment and related cabling (but excluding the Customer System);

  • Digital network means any online-enabled application, software, website or system offered or utilized by a transportation network company that enables the prearrangement of rides with transportation network company drivers.

  • Maintenance Outage means NERC Event Type MO, as set forth in attached Exhibit B, and includes any outage involving ten percent (10%) of the Facility’s Net Output that is not a Forced Outage or a Planned Outage.

  • Customization means any customer-specific modification to software that requires changes to the software’s source code.

  • Customer Systems means the Customer's information technology infrastructure, including computers, software, hardware, databases, electronic systems (including database management systems) and networks, whether operated directly by Customer or through the use of third-party services.

  • Electric System Upgrades means any Network Upgrades, Distribution Upgrades, or Interconnection Facilities that are determined to be necessary by the CAISO or Participating Transmission Owner, as applicable, to physically and electrically interconnect the Project to the Participating Transmission Owner’s electric system for receipt of Energy at the Point of Interconnection (as defined in the CAISO Tariff) if connecting to the CAISO Grid, or the Interconnection Point, if connecting to a part of the Participating TO’s electric system that is not part of the CAISO Grid.
