NEMT definition

NEMT means Non-emergency Medical Transportation, which in Iowa is managed by a broker.
NEMT means non-emergent medical transportation as defined in OAR 410-136-3000(8)(i).¶

Examples of NEMT in a sentence

  • NEMT services are intended for members who have no other means of transportation available to them.

  • The NEMT broker must approve ambulance, multi-passenger van services, and transportation by common carriers.
