Examples of NBCT in a sentence
A National Board Certified Teacher who is working in the NBCT Candidates Support Program as a candidate coach shall receive a stipend of $210 for each candidate coached.
An additional annual stipend of fifteen hundred $1,500 will also be awarded as long as the Washington State Legislature continues to award the stipend for National Board Certification for Teachers (NBCT) recognition.
Teachers who achieve National Board Certification (NBCT) will receive a ten year bonus of up to $1,000 per year, including TRS, each of the 10 years during which the National Board Certified Teacher maintains their Illinois Master Certificate and continues employment with the district.
Teachers who received National Board Certification or Board Certification prior to September 1, 2013 shall receive the NBCT stipend in addition to their degree lane.
Any teacher earning her/his NBCT subsequent to this date will advance one lane (at the same Step unless an annual advancement is applicable) on Salary Schedule – Appendix A.
Any teacher who moves to the Specialist salary lane due to NBCT but allows her/his certification to lapse will return to their salary lane prior to NBCT.
Teachers who have achieved National Board Certification Teacher status and are assigned to serve in district-wide, non-administrative, teaching positions (e.g. Content Specialist; Special Education Consultants, Technology Consultants, etc.) will continue to receive the NBCT stipend.
The annual increment will be prorated to reflect either (i) a shortened work year if the teacher begins working after the start of the school year or resigns prior to the end of the school year or (ii) the teacher’s receipt of NBCT certification after the start of the school year.
A teacher who has earned her/his National Board Certification (NBCT) prior to May 1, 2019 or a teacher who earns her/his NBCT following this date, but who can show evidence of beginning the program prior to May 1, 2019, will be paid on the Specialist salary lane.
The stipend will be the same amount and distributed in the same manner as classroom teacher NBCT stipends.
