Native American human remains and associated items shall not be curated but addressed in consultation with the most likely descendent(s) designated by California’s NAHC pursuant to California Public Resources Code section 5097.98.
In accordance with Section 5097.98 of the California Public Resources Code, the NAHC must notify those persons it believes to be the most likely descended from the deceased Native American.
