Mist spray adhesive means any aerosol which is not a special purpose spray adhesive and which delivers a particle or mist spray, resulting in the formation of fine, discrete particles that yield a generally uniform and smooth application of adhesive to the substrate.
Web spray adhesive means any aerosol adhesive that is not a mist spray or special purpose spray adhesive.
Aerosol adhesive means an adhesive packaged as an aerosol product in which the spray mechanism is permanently housed in a non-refillable can designed for handheld application without the need for ancillary hoses or spray equipment.
Polyolefin adhesive means an aerosol adhesive designed to bond polyolefins to substrates.
Polystyrene foam adhesive means an aerosol adhesive designed to bond polystyrene foam to substrates.
Cyanoacrylate adhesive means any adhesive with a cyanoacrylate content of at least 95% by weight.
Adhesive means any chemical substance that is applied for the purpose of bonding two surfaces together other than by mechanical means.
Flexible vinyl adhesive means an “Aerosol Adhesive” designed and labeled exclusively to bond flexible vinyl to substrates. Flexible vinyl means a nonrigid polyvinyl chloride plastic with at least five percent, by weight, of plasticizer content. A plasticizer is a material that is incorporated into a vinyl to increase its flexibility, workability, or distensibility, that may be determined using ASTM Method E260-91 (Jan. 25, 1991) Standard Practice for Packed Column Gas Chromatography, which is incorporated by reference herein, or from product formulation data.
Membrane filtration means a pressure or vacuum driven separation process in which particulate matter larger than 1 micrometer is rejected by an engineered barrier, primarily through a size-exclusion mechanism, and which has a measurable removal efficiency of a target organism that can be verified through the application of a direct integrity test. This definition includes the common membrane technologies of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis.
Adhesive primer means any product intended by the manufacturer for application to a substrate, prior to the application of an adhesive, to provide a bonding surface.
Automobile Headliner Adhesive means an aerosol adhesive designed to bond together layers in motor vehicle headliners.
Edge of any water means the outer edge of the water's bankfull width or, where applicable, the outer edge of the associated channel migration zone.
medium voltage means the set of nominal voltage levels that lie above low voltage and below high voltage in the range of 1 kV < Un 44 kV. [SABS 1019]
Irradiation means the exposure of matter to ionizing radiation.
Radiation therapy simulation system means a radiographic or fluoroscopic x-ray system intended for localizing the volume to be exposed during radiation therapy and confirming the position and size of the therapeutic irradiation field.
Clone means a non-flowering plant cut from a mother plant that is capable of developing into a new plant and has shown no signs of flowering.
Laser means any device excepting a Class 1 device which can be made to produce or amplify electromagnetic radiation in the wave length range from 100 nanometres to 1 millimetre primarily by the process of controlled stimulated emission.
Conventional filtration treatment means a series of processes including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration resulting in substantial particulate removal.
Nematode means invertebrate animals of the phylum nemathelminthes, and class nematoda, i.e., unsegmented round worms with elongated, fusiform, or saclike bodies covered with cuticle, and inhabiting soil, water, plants, or plant parts, may also be called nemas or eelworms.
