Motor Vehicle Body definition

Motor Vehicle Body means that portion of the Motor Vehicle mounted on the chassis or frame or unibody, including fenders, bumpers, windshields, glass and similar components of motor vehicle bodies as distinguished from the chassis, seats, motor, transmission, air conditioning condenser, radiator and other accessories for propulsion and general running gear of motor vehicles.

  • When a Licensee ceases operating the business of Motor Vehicle Body Work, the Licensee must return the original Motor Vehicle Body License to the Department within fifteen (15) days thereof.

  • The Motor Vehicle Body License is not subject to transfer, assignment or leasing to another Person without prior application to, and approval from the Department.

  • After receipt of a request from an insurance company to reinspect a Motor Vehicle, the Licensee shall inform the insurance company representative who requested reinspection when the Motor Vehicle Body Work has been completed and shall make the Motor Vehicle available for reinspection no later than the following business day unless the insurance company representative agrees to another time.

  • The purpose of this Regulation is to establish standards and procedures for the issuance of Motor Vehicle Body Licenses for Motor Vehicle Body Work and to generally assist the Department in carrying out the administration and enforcement of the terms and provisions of the Act so that the public interest may be effectively served.

  • Each Applicant shall furnish to the Director and maintain during the terms of the Motor Vehicle Body License a certificate of insurance issued by an insurance company licensed to transact business in this state showing that the Applicant has a policy insuring him, her or it against liability for injury to persons and damage to property which may be caused by the operation of the business.

  • Motor vehicle means land vehicles propelled other than by muscular power, such as automobiles, motorcycles, autocycles, and low speed vehicles. For the purposes of this definition, motor vehicle does not include farm equipment, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, motorized wheelchairs, go-carts, gas buggies, golf carts, ski-slope grooming machines, or vehicles that run only on rails or tracks.

  • Motor vehicle dealer or "dealer" means any person who:

  • Motor vehicle surface means any pervious or impervious surface that is intended to be used by “motor vehicles” and/or aircraft, and is directly exposed to precipitation including, but not limited to, driveways, parking areas, parking garages, roads, racetracks, and runways.

  • Motor vehicle manufacturer means any of the following:

  • Regulated motor vehicle surface means any of the following, alone or in combination:

  • Motor Vehicles means motor vehicles, tractors, trailers and other like property, whether or not the title thereto is governed by a certificate of title or ownership.

  • Motor vehicle fuel means any petroleum distillate having a Reid vapor pressure of more than four (4) pounds per square inch and that is used to power motor vehicles. Diesel fuel and kerosene are not considered to be motor vehicle fuels.

  • Antique motor vehicle means every motor vehicle, as defined in this section, which was actually

  • Motor vehicle salesperson or "salesperson" means any person who is licensed as and employed as a

  • Used motor vehicle dealer means a person that is engaged in the business of purchasing, selling, exchanging, or dealing in used motor vehicles and that has an established place of business in this state at which it conducts that business. The term does not include a new motor vehicle dealer purchasing, selling, exchanging, or dealing in used motor vehicles as part of its business of purchasing, selling, exchanging, or dealing in new motor vehicles.

  • New motor vehicle means a motor vehicle that:

  • New motor vehicle dealer means a person, including a distributor, that holds a dealer agreement granted by a manufacturer, distributor, or importer for the sale or distribution of its motor vehicles; is engaged in the business of purchasing, selling, exchanging, or dealing in new motor vehicles; and has an established place of business in this state.

  • Electric motor vehicle means a motor vehicle that is powered solely by an

  • Used motor vehicle means a motor vehicle that is not a new motor vehicle.

  • Motor vehicle record or "MVR" means a driving record under Subsection 53-3-109(6)(a).

  • Commercial motor vehicle means a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles used in commerce to transport passengers or property if the motor vehicle:

  • Uninsured motor vehicle means a land motor vehicle or trailer of any type:

  • Underinsured motor vehicle means a land motor vehicle or trailer of any type to which a bodily injury liability bond or policy applies at the time of the accident, but the limit of liability for bodily injury is less than the damages that an insured per- son is entitled to recover from the owner or operator of the motor vehicle for bodily injury. An “underinsured motor vehicle” does not include any vehicle or equipment:

  • passenger vehicle means a motor vehicle (other than a motor cycle or invalid carriage) constructed solely for the carriage of passengers and their effects and adapted to carry not more than twelve passengers exclusive of the driver, and not drawing a trailer;

  • Gross vehicle mass or "maximum mass" means the technically permissible maximum laden mass as declared by the manufacturer.

  • Your vehicle means an Eligible Vehicle purchased by You being the vehicle specified on the certificate of insurance.

  • Transfer Vehicle means any vehicle that operates in space and transfers Payloads or persons or both between two different space objects, between two different locations on the same space object, or between a space object and the surface of a celestial body. A Transfer Vehicle also includes a vehicle that departs from and returns to the same location on a space object.

  • Junk vehicle means a vehicle of any age that is damaged or defective in any one or combination of any of the following ways that either makes the vehicle immediately inoperable, or would prohibit the vehicle from being operated in a reasonably safe manner upon the public streets and highways under its own power if self-propelled, or while being towed or pushed, if not self-propelled:

  • Approval of a vehicle means the approval of a vehicle type with regard to braking.

  • Covered Vehicle means a private passenger vehicle (including mini-vans, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles) which is registered or rented to You during Your Trip, which is rated ¾ ton in weight or less, not used for racing, dealer services, dealer loaners, taxi, limousine, shuttle, delivery, hauling, towing, road repair service, construction service, snow removal, or as a public livery vehicle, or any other commercial use.

  • Fleet Vehicle means one of a large group of New Vehicles sold to a Person (e.g., a rental car agency) which purchases in excess of ten (10) Vehicles per purchase contract for commercial use.
