Mortgage REIT definition

Mortgage REIT means an entity the securities of which are publicly traded, organized and operated in compliance with the REIT Provisions of the Code, that invests primarily in Mortgage Assets and follows investment strategies substantially similar to those employed by the Company.
Mortgage REIT. Any real estate investment trust primarily engaged in providing mortgage financing (as opposed to equity investment in real property) and which, at the time of determination, does not own or maintain equity investments in any luxury hotels of a similar quality and class to that of the Real Property (other than as a result of foreclosure, deed in lieu of foreclosure or other exercise of remedies in connection with a mortgage financing).
Mortgage REIT means a company that invests in primarily mortgage-backed securities and other mortgage related assets and that is qualified as a real estate investment trust for purposes of federal income taxation); (ii) the Company knows of a limited number of persons who have developed the Business; (iii) the Business is, in part, national in scope; (iv) the Executive’s work for the Company and its subsidiaries has given and will continue to give the Executive access to the confidential affairs and proprietary information of the Company and to trade secrets of the Company and its subsidiaries; (v) the covenants and agreements of the Executive contained in this Section 8 are essential to the business and goodwill of the Company; and (vi) the Company would not have entered into this Agreement but for the covenants and agreements set forth in this Section 8.

  • FHA Mortgage Insurance Contract means the contractual obligation of the FHA respecting the insurance of a Mortgage Loan.

  • Mortgage Receivable means a promissory note secured by a Mortgage of which the Borrower or a Subsidiary is the holder and retains the rights of collection of all payments thereunder.
