Misusing definition

Misusing medication shall mean using any medication for a purpose other than that for which the medication was specifically authorized or prescribed. This shall include either of the following:
Misusing in this context means using the standard or information ‘in a manner that is inconsistent with the standard’: paragraph 37(1)(c).

Examples of Misusing in a sentence

  • Such activity may include but is not limited to: ● Mis-using social media or communication tools, including but not limited to bullying, threatening or harassing others.

  • Misusing fire extinguishers is not permitted and will result in disciplinary action, up to and including a $500 fine and dismissal from the University.

  • Less serious misconduct includes: ⏵ Failure to carry out lawful instructions ⏵ Misusing or using without authority property or equipment ⏵ Leaving the place of work without authority ⏵ Posting offensive notices ⏵ Preventing another employee or employees from undertaking their work ⏵ Wasting time or materials ⏵ Failing to report for work or not completing the stipulated hours of work without notification, unless sick or injured, or because of personal emergency.

  • Misusing federal or state Works Program or Child Care Program funds, including receipts or recoveries that are not reported, where a federal or state law or regulation enacted before the use of the funds requires the funds to be spent in a different way.

  • Misconduct involving object Misusing banned or restricted items (white out etc.); misusing objects [rulers; water bottles etc.] Actions resulting in injury or damage to others, animals or property.

  • Mis-using equipment can result in injury and/or damage to the equipment; follow directions and instructions.

  • Misusing Company property, or services or the property or services of any person.

  • Misusing or abusing over-the-counter medications is also prohibited and grounds for dismissal.
