Misconduct in academic definition

Misconduct in academic research: formal stage: Where this stage is invoked, you will be required to respond in writing to the allegation of research misconduct. If you admit the research misconduct, the Deputy Vice- Chancellor may conclude the investigation. If you do not admit the research misconduct, an investigation team will be appointed. The investigation team will interview you and, where appropriate, the person who made the allegation. Where the allegation of research misconduct is upheld or partially upheld, the investigation team will make a recommendation to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor. If you admit the research misconduct or the allegation of research misconduct is upheld or partially upheld, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor will decide whether to inform your examiners, take disciplinary action under the relevant policy or take other action.
