Minimum Rates. The Minimum Rates set out in Schedule A are basic minimum hourly rates. Nothing in this Agreement shall prevent an Employer from paying Employees a rate higher than these minimum rates. No Employer will be obligated to pay more than the minimum rates without first bargaining and reaching an agreement with an individual employee to pay a higher rate.

Minimum Rates. The rates enumerated in Appendix “1” to this Master Agreement are the Scale Wages and nothing in this Master Agreement shall prevent an Employer from paying the Employees a rate higher than these minimum rates, but no Employer will be obligated to pay more than the minimum rates without bargaining with an individual Employee for a higher rate and reaching an agreement to pay that Employee a higher rate.
