Mini-break definition

Mini-break means a very short break where everyone (witness, defendant, lawyers, jury) remain in situ in court, the jury screens are switched of and a few minutes are given for the witness to compose themselves. Witnesses may stand up and move around in this time. This is done where a usual length break may be unnecessary for or destructive of the witness’s concentration.

  • Bed and breakfast establishment means any establishment (i) having no more than 15 bedrooms;
