Mid-Winter Break definition

Mid-Winter Break is defined as the time period between the beginning of the Fall semester exams and start of the Winter Semester.

Examples of Mid-Winter Break in a sentence

  • The holidays of Labor Day (1), Thanksgiving (2), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (2), New Years’ Eve/New Years’ Day (2), Mid-Winter Break (2), and Memorial Day (1) are credited as workdays.

  • The timing of such leave will avoid extending existing school vacation periods of Christmas and Mid-Winter Break.

  • Employees will be paid for the following holidays even though no work is performed by the employee: New Year’s Day Thanksgiving Day Memorial Day Day after Thanksgiving Friday before Labor Day *Good Friday Labor Day Mid-Winter Break (1 Day) In order to be paid for the holiday, employees must work the work day before and the work day after the holiday unless the absence is a result of a funeral or an approved sick day.

  • The timing of such leave should avoid extending existing school vacation periods of Christmas and Mid-Winter Break.

  • No later than February Mid-Winter Break • Mid-year reflective conference must occur for all employees.

  • Employees may exercise the option to use personal days immediately before/after Fall Break, before/after Thanksgiving Break, before/after Christmas Break, before/after Mid-Winter Break, before/after Spring Break, and before/after Memorial Day Weekend, as determined by a random drawing.

  • Mid-Winter Break will consist of 1-2 days off on a Friday and/or Monday in mid-winter as determined by the Calendar committee.

  • Three (3) years Fifteen (15) days Eight (8) years Twenty (20) days Seventeen (17) years Twenty-five (25) days Twenty-five (25) years Thirty (30) days Vacations are normally approved in blocks of one (1) or more weeks during July, August, Christmas Break and Mid-Winter Break.

  • Employees may exercise the option to use personal days immediately before/after Fall Break, before/after Thanksgiving Break, before/after Christmas Break, before/after Mid-Winter Break, before/after Spring Break, and before/after Memorial Day Weekend, as determined by a random ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇ be eligible for the random drawing, an employee must submit a requestto the Superintendent by the first Friday of September.

  • There will be early dismissal the day before Thanksgiving, the day before Winter Recess, the day before Mid-Winter Break, and the day before Spring Break.
