Mid-Scale Lodging Facilities definition
Mid-Scale Lodging Facilities means a full service lodging facility providing a degree of sophistication and full service amenities and facilities which (i) is of a type and standard generally consistent with hotels operated as Holiday Inn hotels in the United States and Canada, (ii) does not primarily offer suites, (iii) is not designed to accommodate "extended stays" (generally more than five days) and (iv) does not generally compete as an "upscale" or "economy" hotel. By way of example and for the guidance of the parties, the parties acknowledge that as of this date they would, without dispute, classify the hotel operations listed on Schedules 2.01(a)(1) and 2.01(a)(2) of the Hotel Properties Agreement as "upscale" hotels and "economy" hotels, respectively.
