Meter Set definition

Meter Set means an assembly of metering and ancillary equipment, including Heat Exchangers, that measure the amount of Energy consumed by a Customer;

Meter Set means the parts, material, and labor necessary to install a meter. The meter set assembly is owned, installed, and maintained by the utility. The meter set does not include any components of the service connection required to provide unmetered service.

  • In case of a Vertical Subdivision, or multi-family housing complex, the Service Line may include the piping from the outlet of the Meter Set to the Customer’s individual Premises, but not within the Customer’s individual Premises.

  • In addition, the Customer will be required to sign a release waiving FortisBC Energy’s liability for any damages should the Customer decide to re-use the abandoned plant downstream of the new Meter Set.

  • Where an approved location is not available inside the building, the meter must be located in a meter manhole or pit at or near the property line, and the cost, ownership and maintenance of the meter manhole or pit structure and the piping from the outlet of the Meter Set is the responsibility of the Customer, except where the BWL has retained ownership.

  • Locate the Isolation Valve on the houseline riser at the utility gas Meter Set Assembly (MSA).

  • If FortisBC Energy approves the Customer’s application, the Customer will be charged the value for all plant abandoned except for Meter Sets that are removed to facilitate Meter Set consolidations.

  • The amount of Energy registered by the Meter Set during each billing period will be converted to megawatt hours and rounded to the nearest one-tenth of a megawatt hour.
