Meritorious performance definition

Meritorious performance means annual evaluations for five of the seven evaluations after a faculty member is promoted to Professor, in which a Professor earns ratings of at least one “superior,” at least one “exceeds expectations,” and nothing less than “satisfactory” in the evaluation categories of teaching, service activities, and creative/scholarly activities and they have had no disciplinary action taken against them. Any disciplinary action resets the seven (7) year period. “Meritorious performance compensation” is a $5,000.00 salary increase.

  • In addition to having accrued the necessary service credit, a candidate on the Lecturer Track for promotion to Senior Lecturer or Senior Lecturer II, a candidate on the Clinical Lecturer Track for promotion to Clinical Senior Lecturer or Clinical Senior Lecturer II, or a candidate on the Scholarship of Practice Track for promotion to Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor must demonstrate evidence of: Meritorious performance in the area(s) of the candidate’s responsibility.
