Merchant Terminal definition

Merchant Terminal means the CARD CONNECT branded electronic funds transfer point of sale terminal, comprising an electronic card based system used for processing transactions through terminals at point of sale or a mobile terminal (may be used in conjunction with the User's mobile cellular phone where applicable), together with the CARD CONNECT Services, which terminal is more fully described in the Application Form;
Merchant Terminal means a device used by merchants to allow the purchase of goods or services from those merchants using a Debit Card.

  • The User should where possible to take out insurance, with a reputable insurance service provider acceptable to CARD CONNECT, to cover all or any of these risks, which cover should include public liability cover, loss of cash where it's shown to be solely at fault, the costs which may have to be incurred to repair and or replace any Merchant Terminal, excluding reasonable wear and tear and to implement any additional security measures that may be required by the User's insurers from time to time.

  • The User would like to make use of the Merchant Terminal and the related CARD CONNECT Services., subject to the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.

  • Notwithstanding the above and under all circumstances, CARD CONNECT will use its best endeavours to notify the User in advance of any failure of, or interruption to the Merchant Terminal or the CARD CONNECT Services and where applicable any required maintenance and repairs which may have to be carried out or be performed as a result of such failure, interruption or unavailability of the CARD CONNECT Service, where it is in a position to do this.

  • The Merchant Terminal will be operated at the User's cost and controlled only by the User.

  • User shall be responsible for the payment of any charges or extra charges by any Service Provider or any other Governmental or non- Governmental body that has the authority to control the use of the Merchant Terminal and any connections required for the proper functioning of the Merchant Terminal.

  • For avoidance of any doubt, “Chargeback” means a disputed transaction, initiated by the cardholder who claims they were not aware of the transaction processed on their card at the Merchant Terminal.

  • Client Terminal means the MetaTrader program version 4 and/or 5, which is used by the Client in order to obtain information of financial markets (which content is defined by the Company) in real-time, to make technical analysis of the markets, make Transactions, place/modify/delete Orders, as well as to receive notices from the Company. The program can be downloaded on the Website free of charge.

  • Marine terminal means a public or private commercial wharf

  • Video lottery terminal sales agent means a lottery sales agent licensed under Chapter 3770. of the ORC to conduct video lottery terminals on behalf of the state pursuant to Section 3770.21 of the ORC.

  • Customer channel termination point means the location where the customer either inputs or receives the communications.

  • Merchant means a person who deals in goods of the kind or otherwise by his occupation holds himself out as having knowledge or skill peculiar to the practices or goods involved in the transaction or to whom such knowledge or skill may be attributed by his employment of an agent or broker or other intermediary who by his occupation holds himself out as having such knowledge or skill.

  • Program services means services that include all of the following provided they are pursuant to a program agreement: program needs assessment and development, job task analysis, curriculum development and revision, instruction, instructional materials and supplies, computer software and upgrades, instructional support, administrative and student services, related school to career training programs, skill or career interest assessment services and testing and contracted services.

  • Operator Services provides for:

  • Hospice services means palliative and supportive care and other services provided by an interdisciplinary team under the direction of an identifiable hospice administration to terminally ill hospice patients and their families to meet the physical, nutritional, emotional, social, spiritual, and special needs experienced during the final stages of illness, dying, and bereavement, as defined in Minnesota Statutes, § 144A.75, subd. 8, and includes the set of services as determined by the Medicare program under §1861(dd) of the Social Security Act and defined in 42 CFR § 418.3.

  • Automobile service station means a building or structure or part thereof open to the public where motor vehicles are washed, serviced, repaired, fueled, leased, sold or displayed and may include, but are not limited to a gas bar, car wash, body shop or general or specialty repair shops;

  • Storage Services means any Services which offer you storage capacity on the network for storage of content which you access from us.

  • Commercial Mobile Radio Services (CMRS) means Commercial Mobile Radio Service, As Defined in the Act and FCC rules.

  • Merchant Services means services provided to merchants relating to the authorization, transaction capture, settlement, chargeback handling and internet-based transaction processing of credit, debit, stored-value and loyalty card and other payment transactions (including provision of point of service devices and other equipment necessary to capture merchant transactions and other ancillary services).

  • Card Services means the services that can be availed of using your Card.

  • Ambulance service provider means Latrobe Health Services recognises the following providers for the purposes of paying benefits:

  • Passenger Services means the Franchisee's railway passenger services as specified in any Timetable and/or Plan of the Day including those railway passenger services which the Franchisee may delegate or subcontract or otherwise secure through any other person from time to time in accordance with the Franchise Agreement;

Such services shall include: set-up and maintenance of cardholder accounts, transaction authorization, processing, clearing and settlement, Payment Network access, cardholder dispute resolution, Payment Network compliance, regulatory compliance, security and fraud control, customer service, collections and activity reporting.

  • POS Terminal or ‘Point-of-Sale Terminal’ means an electronic device used by a Retailer to authorise and accept a Card Transaction.

  • Hosted Services means the hosting, management and operation of the computing hardware, ancillary equipment, Software, firmware, data, other services (including support services), and related resources for remote electronic access and use by the State and its Authorized Users, including any services and facilities related to disaster recovery obligations.

  • Pharmacy services means the practice of pharmacy as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW and includes any drugs or devices as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW.

  • Network Termination Point (NTP) means the physical point at which a subscriber is provided with access to a public communications network; in the case of networks involving switching or routing, the NTP is identified by means of a specific network address, which may be linked to a subscriber number or name;

  • Wireless services provider means a person who provides wireless services.
