Mentor Teachers definition

Mentor Teachers. Teachers who have volunteered and been selected to provide assistance to non-tenured teachers. See VI.
Mentor Teachers. A unit member who is assigned by the Board to serve as a mentor for a new teacher shall receive an annual stipend of $600 for each new teacher mentored. A unit member who has completed MCPS mentor training shall receive $800 per year.

  • The REPC and all Mentor Teachers and Resident Educators shall keep confidential all discussions, actions, materials and other information to the extent permitted by law.

  • Mentor Teachers shall be provided with an orientation to mentoring responsibilities and ODE training in knowledge and skills necessary to perform mentoring responsibilities.
