Member Assignment definition

Member Assignment means the written notification and assignment of a Potential Member to the Medi-Cal managed care health plan of the Member’s choice, or if as designated by DHCS when the Potential Member fails to make a timely choice. Member Information means documents that are vital, or critical to obtaining benefits or services, and includes, but is not limited to: the Member Handbook, Provider Directory, welcome packets, Marketing information, form letters including Notice of Actions (NOA), notices related to Grievances or Appeals, including Grievance and Appeal acknowledgement and resolution letters, Contractor’s preventive health reminders, Member surveys, notices advising of the availability of free language assistance, and newsletters. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) means a formal written agreement between Contractor and Local Government Agencies, county programs, and third-party entities. Minimum Performance Level (MPL) refers to Contractor’s minimum performance requirements for select Quality Performance Measures. Minor Consent Services means those Covered Services of a sensitive nature which minors do not need parental consent to access, including but not limited to the following situations:
Member Assignment. Member assignment to the Contractor shall be based upon member choice, geographic location, and on a proportional assignment procedure as described in RBHA policies and procedures. Assignment of members to the Contractor shall be at the sole discretion of RBHA based on the RBHA polices and procedures. The RBHA shall assign members to the Contractor in an equitable manner taking into account the Contractor's capacity. The RBHA may adjust the Contractor's capacity based upon contract performance or QM findings at its discretion. The Contractor must accept enrollment of all members assigned to the Contractor by the RBHA for Covered Services. Network assignments will be in accordance with the RBHA's Enrollment and Assignment Policy and Procedure and will not be limited by the capacity assigned to the Contractor Members may change their assigned At-Risk Provider at the discretion of the RBHA based upon established criteria and guidelines in RBHA Policies and Procedures.
